Utilizing Indian rhythms as the foundation for a new creative musical experience, Momin's compositions find that ground where fiery solos, sonic explorations and exciting group interactions occur. The powerful and harmonically rich voice of Sam Bardfeld, one of the most diverse, creative and accomplished violinists on the scene, along with Brandon Terzic's deep and melodic oud, round out the trio, and thus enable the creation of a modern music that is respectful of tradition, yet constantly searching to re-invent itself. Their follow-up recording for CleanFeed Records, entitled "Miren (A Longing)" was released in June of 2007.

ExTempore was originally formed by Ursel Schlicht for a Residency Project in Kassel, Germany, during the Documenta XI (2002). Based on each member's strong individual voices as composers and improvisers, Ex Tempore creates a contemporary sound by incorporating musical languages ranging from classical Indian, Middle-Eastern and West African music to experimental electronic sounds and free improvisation.

Kalaparush Maurice McIntyre was a founding member of the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) in Chicago in the 1960s. He recorded the seminal album "Humility in the Light of the Creator" for Delmark, and also appeared on albums by Muhal Richard Abrams, Roscoe Mitchell and various other luminaries.  He now leads a band featuring the world rhythms of drummer Ravish Momin, bassist Adam Lane, and tubist Jesse Dulman. Right before adding Adam, the trio released a CD on Delmark Records (2004) called "Morning Song" that received critical acclaim. The newly formed quartet has also recently released a CD on CIMP (2004), entitled "Paths to Glory." The band is currently active on the international festival circuit.
