News alert! Our July 26th performance at Le Poisson Rouge (the newly renovated Village Gate!)has been postponed indefinitely, on account of a medical emergency befalling the headlining pianist Fernando Otero. Please visit the performances page for more details. We had recently performed at the Jazz Ao Centro Festival and Jazz nos Capuchos Festival in Portugal! Great audiences all around! We've also got a Western Canadian tour early October, a US Midwest tour planned for late October, and a South Asiann tour early December. The band is now represented/booked by JazzWorldQuest Productions!
Our second album for CleanFeed Records has just been released!

I've recorded an album with the amazing and innovative singer/songwriter Andy Spencer Goldman's Fulton Lights project, which which will be released later in 2008.

I've also recorded an album with saxophononist Sabir Mateen , which was released in February 2008.

In slightly older news, Ursel Schlicht's Ex Tempore recently completed a succesful residency project in Kassel, Germany at the end of May, last year, with special guests from different countries.

I was also awarded a US Artists International Grant (National Endowment for the Arts Fund, administered by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation) to perform at the 2007 Mediawave Festival, in Hungary, with Trio Tarana.
